The Role

Surbana Jurong is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of BIM Manager to support the successful implementation of BIM processes on a major infrastructure project.

The BIM Manager will assist the Lead BIM Manager in overseeing project-wide BIM operations, supervising discipline-specific BIM teams, ensuring model quality and coordination, and maintaining compliance with ISO 19650 and project BIM Execution Plan (BEP). This role acts as a key technical lead for digital delivery, driving collaboration and innovation across Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide BIM Coordinators and modelers across Architecture, Structure, and MEP.
  • Manage federated BIM models, perform clash detection, and ensure model coordination accuracy.
  • Review discipline models for compliance with project BEP and client BIM standards.
  • Ensure deliverables align with ISO 19650 and support LOD progression (100–500) through all project stages.
  • Conduct model QA/QC checks and oversee interoperability, data integrity, and drawing quality.
  • Utilize Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for design collaboration and coordination.
  • Support BIM automation and efficiency improvements using tools such as Dynamo or Grasshopper.
  • Lead BIM coordination meetings, internal workshops, and training for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and coordination issues.
  • Manage BIM documentation and deliverables, including the Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) and Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP).
  • Prepare BIM progress reports, dashboards, and visualization materials to support project communication.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 12–16 years of BIM experience, including 6+ years in a coordination or management role.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary BIM teams across large-scale projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards, BIM workflows, and digital collaboration protocols.
  • Experience in preparing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and managing LOD development.
  • Familiarity with GIS integration (ArcGIS, QGIS) and 4D/5D BIM workflows preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
Key Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of BIM coordination and model management across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient in clash detection, data validation, and quality assurance for digital deliverables.
  • Experience with automation and parametric modeling using Dynamo, Grasshopper, or scripting tools.
  • Skilled in managing project information delivery (TIDP/MIDP) and progress reporting.
  • Ability to lead BIM workshops, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement.
  • Experience in infrastructure, aviation, or complex building projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Enscape, Twinmotion, or 3ds Max is an advantage.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
