Job summary

A leading technology company is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for their Automotive division in Jeddah. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Siemens Automation systems to help enhance system performance and troubleshoot issues. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 2-3 years of project experience in the automotive industry. The position offers the flexibility of mobile working and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

You‘ll make an impact by:

Must-have

  • Engineer must be skilled and knowledgeable on Siemens Automation systems – TIA portal, S7-1500F, ET200SP, Unified HMI runtime in Automotive Industry
  • Minimum 2-3 projects experience in Automotive industry is MUST
  • Engineer will be a bridge between Customer Team and Automotive Line Builders and help them for quick resolutions of issues, guide them on Siemens technical front.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address and fix problems related to Siemens Automation Systems.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Profinet network performance, ensure system reliability, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to safety and quality standards in all PLC-related activities.
  • Support OPC UA configuration and interface with MES.
  • Training on Siemens automation system on demand
  • Support to prepare documentation of network configurations, processes, procedures and manuals for ease of troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with End customer production and engineering teams to enhance system performance.
  • Support routine maintenance activities performed by Maintenance team and updates to ensure optimal operation of PLC systems.

Good to have

  • Implementation of SINEC, SINEMA Systems Implementation.
  • Support to Configure and install network devices and services, such as routers, switches.
  • Support to Implement and manage network security measures to protect against threats.

Your success is grounded in

  • Minimum 2-3 projects experience in Automotive industry is MUST
  • Engineer must be skilled and knowledgeable on Siemens Automation systems – TIA portal, S7-1500F, ET200SP, Unified HMI runtime in Automotive Industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., electrical, automation, or related discipline).
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address and fix problems related to Siemens Automation Systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
