Job Title: Obstetrics and Gynecology Associate Consultant

An excellent opportunity to join as an associate consultant in obstetrics and gynecology for one of the most prestigious and top-tier leading hospitals in Qassim, Saudi Arabia.

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology will provide comprehensive care to women throughout their reproductive health journey. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of obstetric and gynecological conditions, performing surgeries, and managing pregnancy-related complications. The Associate Consultant will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and participate in educational initiatives for both patients and medical staff. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provides and controls list of team activities
  2. Follows Organizational/Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  3. Ensures the maintenance of high medical ethical standards in the practice of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  4. Outline the management plan for outpatient clinic with assurance of continuity of medical care
  5. Care for and treat during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  6. Diagnose and treat diseases of female organs; prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, diseases, and injury.
  7. Perform Cesarean Section or other surgical procedures, as needed, to preserve patients health and deliver babies safely after consulting with the Consultant.
  8. Diagnosis and treatment of all issues associated with the female reproductive system.
  9. Perform certain surgical procedures such as Laparoscopies, Laparotomies or vaginal procedures on female reproductive organs under supervision of consultant
  10. Preventive and screening tests like pap smears, breast exams, and menopausal care and management.
  11. Consult with or provide consulting services to other physicians
  12. Share in the development of departmental Policies & Procedures and Quality Improvement Projects.
  13. Participates in the implementation and maintenance of Training Programs and continuing educational programs for Saudi National.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of the required period of training in obs and Gynecology.
  • Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

  • Min. 1-3 years Post Board/Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
