The Reservations Agent is responsible for accurately recording and processing reservations, maximizing room sales through proactive selling and up-selling techniques.

• Familiarize with hotel products and activities.
• Maximize room sales and revenue, focusing on up-selling.
• Check daily all new reservations, cancellations, or modifications; ensure information passed to relevant departments is accurate.
• Verify guest or group arrivals daily, ensuring guest details, requirements, and pricing are correct.
• Perform secretarial duties such as preparing correspondence, maintaining files, sending faxes and emails.
• Maintain a sales-oriented attitude to capitalize on all sales opportunities.
• Develop the Reservations and Group & Tour teams to optimize revenue from inquiries.
• Ensure commissions are correct and promptly followed up.
• File reject business with reasons documented.
• Ensure all correspondence is properly filed with updated information.
• Comply with hotel credit policies and meet forecasted revenues.
• Control room supply and pricing as per set standards.
• Maintain and update guest information and sales data according to reservation procedures.
• Uphold high guest service standards.
• Ensure accuracy in data entry.
• Support team members’ workload and operational needs.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all hotel policies related to reservations and systems.
• Prioritize reservation quality and adhere to brand standards.
• Ensure team members understand and follow hotel rules and regulations.
