As a Bar Manager at Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you are Leader of a bartending team that brings innovation to beverages and guest experiences. In this role, you’ll work with a range of premium spirits, locally sourced ingredients, and unique flavours to craft exceptional and exclusive cocktails. You’ll engage with guests, understand their preferences, and create customized cocktails tailored to their tastes. This level of attention and personalized service adds a special touch to the guest experience and contributes to the overall luxury atmosphere. Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in accordance with Belmond and Leading Quality Assurance standards.
• Communicate with guests on a regular basis throughout service, with other employees, and/or departments to ensure guest needs are met.
• Be fully conversant and aware of all guest dietary requirements.
• Manage the service team by ensuring the smooth running of service and that duties are carried out in a professional and timeous manner.
• To oversee and control scheduling, to ensure adequate coverage according to the business levels. Ensure through regular monitoring of guest feedback, queries and complaints for delivering prompt, efficient and accurate service.
• Run all necessary training on service, food, beverages, standard practices etc. for the team and ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with Leading Quality Assessment (LQA) standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of integrity and uphold the trust the Company is placing in you.
• Perform your work to at least the minimum performance standards explained to you and required of you in your role. Also ensure that you work in a manner that complies with any applicable quality assurance standards and standard operating procedures.

Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity. You could be from an independent restaurant or bar, have worked in luxury retail or private villas, or be a tour guide.
