Job summary
A global insurance firm located in Xico, Mexico, is looking for an experienced analytics expert to lead the development of advanced analytics solutions. You will be responsible for end-to-end data analytics product development, collaborating with various teams to drive profitability and growth. The ideal candidate will have over four years of advanced analytics experience and a strong educational background in relevant fields. This role emphasizes problem-solving and effective communication of insights to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of advanced analytics experience.
- Experience with programming and statistical packages like Python and R.
- Experience in data management (SQL).
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of advanced analytics solutions.
- Develop company A/B testing frameworks and test model quality.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve objectives.
Skills
Education
- Lead the creation of advanced analytics solutions to help us drive profitability and growth by optimizing resources and pricing.
- wn the end-to-end development of the data analytics products : data exploration, modeling and model deployment.
- Develop company A / B testing frameworks and test model quality.
- Understand and combine data from various sources to create analytics data sets.
- Introduce new methodologies, algorithms, tools, and technologies to solve problems.
- Collaborate with multiple teams (e.g., Applied AI, Claims, Underwriting, IT) to achieve objectives.
- Become a trusted partner for the stakeholders in topics related to data and analytics (i.e., translating data insights into business decisions / actions).
- Communicate and present findings or data science projects / achievements to non-technical audiences.
- Support ad-hoc business requests which require statistical analysis.
- Provide training guidance and assistance to colleagues.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Analytics, Engineering or Computer Science.
An advanced degree in Statistics or Predictive Analytics is strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of advanced analytics experience.
- Experience with Excel is required.
- Experience with programming and statistical packages (Python, R).
- Experience in data management (SQL).
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques.
- Good Problem-Solving skill is a must.
- Communication to different audiences (operations and senior leadership).
- Experience in designing and building data science products that influence the business decision-making process.
- Comprehensive analytics assessments that will help the business leaders to identify and prioritize actions that will help the business to grow in volume and in profitability.
- Translate data driven insights into business decisions and actions.
