Formación

Responsibilities

The WiFi Infrastructure Architect is a highly skilled expert responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing advanced wireless network solutions. This role provides the highest level of support for complex network issues, ensures network performance and reliability, handles security and compliance, and drives continuous improvement in wireless infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation

    Design and implement comprehensive wireless network solutions to enhance performance, reliability and scalability.

    Collaborate with stakeholders to define network architecture and infrastructure requirements.

    Conduct site surveys and RF planning to optimize wireless coverage and capacity.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting and Support

    Handle the most complex technical issues by utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques.

    Lead and guide L2 teams during P1/P2 incidents providing expert-level support and resolution.

    Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of problems.

  • Network Optimization

    Continuously monitor and optimize network performance and efficiency.

    Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance wireless network operations.

  • Security and Compliance Management

    Develop and enforce network security policies to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.

    Respond to security incidents and ensure proactive remediation of known risks.

    Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Problem and Change Management

    Oversee and manage network-related problem and change management processes.

    Ensure minimal or no service disruption during planned changes and maintenance activities.

  • Knowledge Management and Training

    Enhance the Knowledge Management Database (KMDB) with detailed documentation of network configurations and processes.

    Provide training and coaching to L1 and L2 teams, sharing expertise and best practices.

    Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Workflow Standards for common activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on wireless networks.
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with wireless network hardware from vendors such as Cisco Aruba/HPE and other relevant vendors.
  • Strong understanding of wireless protocols, standards and RF principles.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale wireless networks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Experience with network security practices, tools and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCIE Wireless, CWNA, CWSP or equivalent are preferred.
