A global automotive components manufacturer seeks a VALUE STREAM LEADER II in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of a product value stream while ensuring adherence to production schedules and KPIs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, over 5 years of experience in manufacturing—preferably in the automotive sector—and strong leadership skills. VALUE STREAM LEADER II

IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end management of a product value stream, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, information, and processes from raw material to final delivery. The role acts as the key liaison between cross‑functional teams, ensuring the achievement of productivity, quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the activities of group leaders to ensure adherence to production schedules and achievement of value stream KPIs.
  • Collaborate with support departments to meet operational targets and resolve issues.
  • Maintain visual management boards and dashboards reflecting value stream performance vs. targets.
  • Own value stream performance and drive accountability for results.
  • Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean principles.
  • Ensure compliance with the Internal Work Regulations and company standards.
  • Guarantee that all manufacturing activities are conducted by properly trained personnel.
  • Ensure that approved procedures and standardized work instructions are followed.
  • Contribute to the achievement of overall plant goals and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with shift counterparts for operational continuity.
  • Approve personnel actions such as evaluations, permits, and disciplinary measures.
  • Submit staffing requisitions to maintain appropriate headcount levels.
  • Foster a professional and safe work environment.
  • Halt production when safety, quality, or compliance issues are identified.
  • Block and tag unsafe equipment/tools and report to Maintenance for repair or replacement.
  • Support the execution of the Manufacturing Engineering portion of the Production Control Plan (PCP).
  • Comply with Quality Management System standards (IATF 16949) and EHS certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with customer-specific requirements, especially those tied to the Zero Defects initiative.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, shift supervision, or production management.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and quality systems.
  • Advanced communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred, especially for Tier 2 operations in Mexico or LATAM.
