JOB SUMMARY

This position will assist the US Trade Compliance Import team in supporting US and Mexico plants with data gathering for imports and exports (only Mexico). This role is part of the global logistics team. Success requires experience in USA and Mexico Customs operations, effective communication, and detailed data gathering. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be detail-oriented.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Verify correct HTS classification used by customs brokers.
2. Verify that material descriptions for imports are complete and accurate.
3. Check that shipment values match SAP PO values.
4. Ensure timely responses (less than 2 hours) from carriers/brokers to requirements.
5. Provide backup documents and information to sites and users.
6. Assist logistics in clearing urgent shipments.
7. Check documents sent by forwarders and request arrival notifications on time.
8. Gather information on raw materials and finished goods for HTS classification.
9. Locate PO or PN to obtain correct clearance information.
10. Verify terms of sale (Incoterms) used in shipment requests.
11. Verify country of origin on commercial invoices.
12. Ensure all information (Bill to, Ship to, PO, PN, values) is correct and matches requirements.
13. Ensure compliance with US government agencies (OGAs) for materials and import documents.
14. Perform ISF verification.
15. Support operations in Mexico (GDL, CUU, TJ, Juarez).
16. Request information for FDA, TSCA, or other agencies as needed.
17. Coordinate expedited services like hand carries and charters.
18. Generate internal reports on operations.
19. Manage invoicing activities for sites and business units.
20. Handle billing management.
