A global technology company in Querétaro is seeking a Test Engineer to lead the planning and execution of tests for product compliance. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience in testing electromechanical components. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment and ensure compliance with UL and IEC standards while coordinating technical teams.

To lead the planning, design and analysis of tests to validate the performance, durability and regulatory compliance of components supplied by vendors and used in the company’s manufactured products. The engineer is responsible for developing test methods aligned with UL and IEC standards, coordinating the technical team and generating reports for supply-chain decisions and product development.
Test planning and design: define acceptance criteria and test plans based on product requirements and safety regulations. Design test environments and fixtures to replicate real-use and stress conditions.
Procedure development and regulatory compliance: write detailed test procedures and develop test cases for both electrical/electronic and mechanical components. Ensure test plans comply with applicable UL and IEC standards.
Test execution and analysis: supervise the execution of tests (including life-cycle, destructive, environmental and reliability tests), monitor results, detect anomalies and carry out root-cause analysis to identify design problems or supplier quality issues.
Product and process improvement: propose design corrections and improvements based on test data; work with the product engineering team and the purchasing department to select suppliers or enhance specifications.
Laboratory management and leadership: coordinate the testing schedule, allocate resources, supervise technical staff and ensure equipment is calibrated and operational.
Documentation and reporting: prepare detailed technical reports on test results, including data, analysis and conclusions. Present these reports to engineering, quality and procurement teams and support decision-making for component approval.
Updates and training: stay informed about updates to UL and IEC standards and testing best practices; train the technical team in these standards and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in designing and executing tests for electromechanical products and in evaluating supplier components.
General knowledge of applicable UL and IEC standards and component certification processes.
Skills in data analysis, problem-solving and use of simulation or data acquisition tools.
Leadership skills and ability to coordinate technical teams and communicate with various departments within the company.
