BMC Software is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to provide expert support for COBOL debugging tools in TSO and CICS environments, enhancing the Developer Experience solutions for a global customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for COBOL debugging tools in TSO and CICS environments.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve issues related to COBOL program execution, compilation, and debugging.
  • Work across Windows and mainframe systems to install, configure, and create real‑world scenarios to accelerate fix resolution.
  • Manage support requests and deliver timely, clear, and actionable guidance to developers.
  • Document all support activity precisely, contributing to the knowledge base and improving team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to escalated complex issues and provide insights to improve DevX tools.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with COBOL programming and debugging in TSO and CICS environments.
  • Comfortable working across mainframe and Windows platforms with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of developer needs and passion for enabling great developer experiences.
  • Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering high‑quality, customer‑centric support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Availability for occasional on‑call support during evenings and weekends as part of a team rotation.
