We’re hiring a Technical Director in Mexico City to lead solutioning and delivery for high-potential Retail/CPG accounts. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on winning and executing complex engagements;especially Data/AI, Agentic solutions, cloud-native development, quality and automation;with clear technical accountability for what we sell and how we deliver.

This role is not a staffing/augmentation position. We need a builder who can shape the solution, protect scope, and run delivery with discipline.

What you’ll do
  • Design end-to-end solutions for complex initiatives across Data/AI, cloud platforms, custom development, quality engineering, and automation.

  • Define delivery approach: phases, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and “what good looks like”.

  • Lead proposal development with autonomy: coordinate multiple senior SMEs (architects, data, cloud, security, QA, etc.) and drive decisions.

  • Partner with the Client Partner during deal shaping, while holding a clear technical veto when scope, feasibility, or delivery risk is unacceptable.

  • Challenge and refine scope aggressively: push for clarity, measurable outcomes, and realistic constraints.

2) Delivery leadership (Fixed Price / Outcome-based)
  • Lead delivery for Fixed Price and/or Outcome-based engagements (typical deal sizes $1–3M, with exposure to $5M+).

  • Establish strong governance: delivery plan, roles, milestones, and operational cadence.

  • Own delivery end to end, identifying CRs early and aligning client expectations to ensure acceptance and protect margin.

  • Coach Tech Managers/Leads and grow a strong local team in CDMX (3–5 people in the first 12 months).

What success looks like (6–12 months)
  • You helped deliver winning proposals and shaped deals that are both ambitious and executable.

  • Delivery is stable and predictable, with early control of scope, risks, and governance.

  • You’ve built a credible technical presence with client leadership and strengthened account growth in Retail/CPG.

What we’re looking for
Must-have experience
  • 10+ years in software delivery and solutioning, with senior leadership roles (Tech Lead/Architect/Eng Manager/Delivery Tech Director).

  • Proven track record leading Fixed Price / Outcome-based delivery (not only T&M).

  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments (client execs, partners, internal commercial teams) without losing technical integrity.

  • Strong SDLC mastery across discovery → delivery → hypercare, with a practical view of estimation, tradeoffs, and risk.

  • Experience designing scalable, distributed architectures, including microservices, event-driven patterns, and enterprise integrations.

  • Modern technology leadership: cloud (Azure and/or GCP), Data/AI platforms, and exposure to agentic/LLM-enabled solution patterns.

  • Solid understanding of quality engineering and automation (test strategy, CI/CD, reliability, observability as applicable).

  • Retail/CPG experience: understanding common domain problems (demand, inventory, pricing/promo, merchandising, omnichannel, store ops, etc.).

  • Fluent English

Nice-to-have
  • Databricks experience (Lakehouse patterns, governance, data pipelines, analytics enablement).

  • High-level literacy of SAP (modules and typical enterprise integration patterns);not looking for a SAP specialist.

  • You’re assertive without being combative: you can say “no” (with reasons) and still build trust.

  • You’re collaborative and team-oriented: you build teams, develop leaders, and create clarity.

  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity, but intolerant of sloppy scope.

What this role is not
  • Not a staffer / resource allocator.

  • Not a PMO-only profile.

  • Not pre-sales only (without delivery accountability).

Location & travel
  • Based in CDMX.

  • Limited travel, mostly local.
