As the Systems Team Lead at Avantpage, a leading language translation company, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the internal systems that are crucial for our operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, implementation, and maintenance of internal systems, actively contributing your technical expertise and ensuring these systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient to support the company's operations and growth.
- Manage a team of three, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding team members in their professional growth and project delivery.
- Work closely with the Director of Technology to develop and implement strategic plans for system enhancements, integrating new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and coordinate various IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Ensure all systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest levels of data security and privacy.
- Oversee the design and management of the company's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage and optimize the company's database systems, including data storage, retrieval, and backups.
- Lead deployment processes, including software releases and updates, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the services provided meet our quality and cost expectations.
- Provide high-level technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Regularly assess the performance of internal systems, identifying areas for improvement, and staying abreast of emerging technologies that could benefit the company.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (mid-senior level) in managing IT systems and teams, preferably in a language translation or similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and databases, with the ability to contribute technically.
- Knowledge of data security, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
