A global manufacturing company in Reynosa, Mexico is seeking a Supply Chain Manager responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain function for dedicated customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, combined with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple detailed projects under tight deadlines and comfort with shifting priorities. The company values innovation and effective team collaboration.
Supply Chain professional managing all aspects of the function for a dedicated customer(s), market segment or geographic region. Solely responsible for managing function (without staff); planning, analyzing and implementing activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. This includes responsibility for inventory turns, strategic solutions, cost management, and cash cycle days Ensures effectiveness of procedures and systems and will implement changes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline procedures.
Bachelor's degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 6 years experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, and / or supply chain management
Communication – Frequent communications with all levels of personnel at customers, suppliers, and internally, including International personnel in many different countries and time zones.
Customer Focus (may be internal or external) - Very strong customer contact, negotiation, and problem resolution skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Confidence in presenting and dealing with supervisory levels and external customers
Problem Solving – Strong ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and recommend / implement corrective actions, processes, etc.
Job specific skills – Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain management. EMS experience a plus. Strong analytical skills and Excel skills desired.
Leadership – Strong leadership skills required. Able to lead projects and motivate / drive the behaviour of non-direct reports.
Innovation – Consistently analyzes situations and offers new ways to achieve better results.
Organization / Project Management – Must be a “self starter” capable of managing themselves and prioritizing tasks efficiently and effectively. Ability to lead projects ranging from short-term to longer term more complex projects requiring excellent communication and leadership to assure success.
Position requires ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines and to be comfortable with shifting priorities, timelines, and requirements. Some travel required including international travel.
Normal office environment.
