Overview
The Automotive & Transportation (A&T) Technical Sourcing Management team was created to serve as the single point of contact for all aspects of Supply Chain activities for assigned design initiatives and custom part supplier developments. The team manages the supplier’s project implementation in alignment with the individual program's needs and complementary to Jabil's overall Supply Chain Management goals. Global team supporting the A&T design centers in Hasselt (Electronics), Vienna (Mechanical) and Jena (Optics) as well as automotive manufacturing sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with Commodity Management (Sourcing) – defines Commodity Panels (Strategy)
- Manages RFQ within the defined Commodity Panels
- Initiate and manage the Project's supply chain plan and is responsible for all supply chain deliverables identified in the Product Life cycle quality management process (PLCM design/NPI) for the assigned parts.
- As required, works with SQE/SDE to Qualify Suppliers within those Regional Panels
- Works DFM to Feasibility Commitment, including reconciliation with customer, supplier and factory (note, FCA required per IATF)
- Completes Component Risk Assessment (CRA) for all custom parts and organizes required inputs from factory, commodity management & supplier development (note, CRA required per IATF)
- Works with CM to hold Sourcing Review Board (SRB) for multidisciplinary agreement on Sourcing Decision (note, SRB required per IATF)
- Once Sourcing complete, works to issue Award Letter along with CM and defines with Supplier Program Management top level schedule for tool/part development and sample builds
- Works with SDE Part Level APQP to PPAP (IATF requirement)
- Rolls Up Status for Internal and External Status Reporting
- Manages Safe Launch Hand-off from SDE to Site SQE at PPAP per SLP defined conditions (IATF requirement)
Job Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge or experience in working with budgets and project management skills, including planning and resource allocation forecasting.
- Proficiency in various software applications, including Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate regarding scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
