You'll utilize quality tools like Six Sigma and manage supplier audits. The ideal candidate has an Electronic Engineering degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical liaison with the contract manufacturers for product quality. This includes participating in weekly communications, on-site audits, review and management of supplier metrics, quality issue resolution, and any other items that directly relate to product quality.
  • Understand and clearly define problems, collect fundamental data, establish facts, and recommend actions for resolution.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reacting to fundamental quality data created from implemented manufacturing quality plans at the subcontractors
  • Utilize quality tools and techniques such as PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, DMAIC, Six Sigma, pareto analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, Cpk, SPC, and 8D for continuously improving the supplier's manufactuirng processes
  • Conduct Supplier Audits / Vendor Assessments and manage finding to closure
  • Train/support suppliers in Landis+Gyr PPAP requirements. Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions supporting NPI,ECO and supplier transfers
  • Lead cross-functional Trend management efforts to address top supplier caused issues and support on-going continuous improvement efforts
  • Create and present necessary reports to manage supplier KPIs and other quality initiatives
Required Experience
  • Electronic Engineer Degree
  • Required Certification (if any) Six Sigma (Green belt) tool background is required
  • 2+ to 5 years of experience
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical documents, requirements and specifications
  • Strong understanding of statistics as related to manufacturing process control (Statistics Control Techniques)
  • Skills in Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, CAPA, SCAR, Control plans, Cpk, SPC
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time lines
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to drive to final resolution
  • Self-Starter - Ability to work independently
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Process continuous improvemet leader, Six Sigma
  • QHSE System, Standards and Procedures
  • ISO, VDA, Shop Floor auditing
  • Handling of basic measuring instruments (vernier, high gages, optical comparator, multimeter, LCR, gages, etc.)
  • Experience in product development/Validations/NPI
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Auditor
Required Abilities
  • Bilingual, Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Strong understanding of statics as related ot manufacturing process control
  • Capable of reading and understand electrical schematics
  • General understanding of mechanical assembly techniques
  • Self starte; Ability to work independently
  • Strong PC and software skills (Microsoft Office Suite and minitab preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & meet timelines
  • Strong Problem solving skills and ability to drive final resolution
  • Ability and Willingnes to travel up to 15% of the time - Includes international travel requirements
  • Ability to motivate and influence people
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as facilitate team based activities
