Sr. Global Industry Solutions Manager (LATAM)
This position is focused on the top vertical markets of Mexico industry and the key accounts related, including major suppliers to the different segments (machine builders, system integrators, and consultants). Project Solutions sales focus is Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s line of automation products (PLC, HMI, Servo, VFD, CNC, Robot) that support the industry.Develop target accounts to be a significant contributor to MEAU growth in the defined markets.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Develop strategy for defined industry; penetrate targeted accounts, as well as major projects to grow MEAU Factory Automation business.
- Become subject matter expert (SME) for selected industries.Support all teams as SME, as needed.
- Drive specification of MEAU’s Automation Solutions from top down.
- Discover and validate key differentiators within target industry accounts. Create discovery agreement and secure commitment.
- Understand target market product trends and specifications and communicate requirements to Product and Solutions Marketing groups.
- Recommend focused marketing activities for the target industry and accounts.
- Work with both End Users and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), to coordinate application of MEAU products.
- Manage partnerships with internal and global resources at MEAU to accomplish objectives.
- Represent MEAU at important industry events and participate in industry specification activities
- Represent all MEAU products to target industry companies.
- Create data, budgets and reports to support business, i.e.:
- Monthly report on sales/marketing activity.
- Quarterly report on industry trends, competition and activities.
- Annual forecasting of account revenue budgets bi-annually and manage downline budgeting
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage Global Industry Solutions Managers/Specialists in the Industry Solutions group, as well as Inside Sales Specialist.
- Oversee daily activities and manage the performance of the staff.
- Supervise and direct activities for supporting personnel (services and project) for targeted accounts.
- Adhere to supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Perform interviews, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel Requirements
· 50%+ travel within the America.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing –or equivalent experience
- 7+ years’ experience working with and managing sales activities of rep sales organizations.
- 7+ years’ experience in the defined market with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications within the Automotive, Aerospace, F&B, Electronic Industries.
- 5+ years’ experience selling automation solutions to senior-level contacts at national accounts in the defined market
- Minimum of 5 years Application Solution Sales, and/or Strategic Sales and Marketing Experience at Fortune 1000 End User, and OEM customers
- Significant network of contacts, and ability to network in the defined market .
- Demonstrated ability in industry marketing planning and execution
- Excellent interpersonal skills and “presence” to deal effectively with senior-level contacts
- Ability to learn MEAU products and recommend technical applications to meet customer needs
- Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office

Required Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the industrial automation industry
- At least 5 years in a management or leadership role

- Extensive experience working in or with the Latin American market
- History of leading cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
- Familiarity with international business and trade regulations
- Experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the industry
- Prior involvement in product development and launch initiatives
- Established network within the automation industry in LATAM
- Experience in managing budgets and financial forecasting
- Educational background in engineering, business, or a related field
