The Data Acquisition team is a diverse global team responsible for developing connector plugins across Lucidworks’ suite of search and personalization products. These connectors are the lifeblood of the search ecosystem and provide the primary mechanism for indexing client data from a wide array of content repositories such as filestores, databases, CRMs, and intranets. The team is responsible for delivery of all plugins, as well as for the delivery and operation of the Data Integration Platform where they run.
As a Software Engineer, you will develop new connector plugins and maintain existing plugins as needed to fix bugs, accommodate downstream repository updates, or introduce new features in response to client needs. You will also work on our new Data Integration Platform to deliver a robust and modern platform that makes ingesting data from clients’ source systems reliable & efficient.
The ideal candidate is comfortable using modern developer tooling, including AI‑assisted coding and debugging tools (e.g., large language models), while maintaining strong independent reasoning skills. We value engineers who use tools to accelerate understanding and execution—not to replace system design judgment, debugging rigor, or critical thinking.
