Who we're looking for
We're hiring a Content Social Creator with short-form/Social Video Editing skills to bring our clients' voices to life across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
This role requires someone deeply immersed in social media who understands how to create content that feels native to each platform. You're able to transform raw footage into highly engaging edits and spot opportunities to repurpose existing content creatively for trends, memes, and carousels.
You know how to adapt trends, pitch creative concepts, and cut videos with strong pacing and emotion. You're not just an executor; you contribute ideas and shape edits that connect with audiences authentically.
Key Responsibilities
Short-Form Video Editing
- Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts using raw footage, screen recordings, and b-roll.
- Craft tight, emotionally engaging edits with strong hooks and pacing.
- Add music, captions, animations, and effects that align with platform trends and client brand guidelines.
- Format videos for mobile-first viewing (vertical 9:16), optimized for platform algorithms.
Social Media Trend Awareness & Content Repurposing
- Stay up to date with platform trends, audio trends, editing styles, and viral formats.
- Propose new video ideas, hooks, and transitions inspired by current social media culture.
- Adapt and remix existing content (from podcasts, speaking engagements, or social posts) into fresh formats for TikTok, Reels, and carousels.
- Writes core copy and hooks; collaborates with Marketing Assistant on captions and variations.
- Works with Designer and Editors to adapt ideas into assets.
- Analyze competitor content and suggest improvements or new approaches.
- Leads the editorial tone across content formats in collaboration with the Producer and brand strategist, ensuring consistency in voice and message aligned to the clients audience.
- Offer suggestions on how to connect content across platforms, using different formats to reinforce strategic goals.
- Evaluate the emotional and editorial strength of clips before editing, recommending changes if something doesn't feel aligned.
Platform Growth & Content Optimization
- Review content performance and share insights on whats working or needs iteration.
- Collaborate with the team to refine tone, hooks, or angles to maximize impact across each platform.
- Recommend ways to optimize video structure, captions, and publishing timing based on analytics or platform shifts.
- Contribute ideas around how AI tools and automation could streamline the creative workflow and content ideation process.
Workflow & Delivery
- Deliver clean, organized files and exports to Frame.io and ClickUp.
- Follow clear naming conventions, task timelines, and internal workflows.
- Apply revisions quickly, with precision and care.
- Communicate regularly with team members.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Consistent delivery of content aligned with the brand and editorial strategy.
- Production of trend-aware, high-quality clips tailored for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
- Proactive contribution of creative ideas, hooks, and improvements in team brainstorms.
- Measurable engagement and performance of published content (views, shares, saves, etc.).
- Clear editorial thinking and storytelling cohesion across content formats.
- Use of AI or automation tools to optimize workflow and speed without sacrificing quality.
- Timely delivery of at least 20 weekly clips across multiple clients (varied formats and complexity).
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years editing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and platform-native visual language.
- Proven ability to repurpose long-form content (podcasts, webinars, etc.) into short-form clips.
- Familiarity with meme culture, viral mechanics, and social media trends.
- Proficiency in CapCut, Social Native video edition tools, Descript/Riverside, and Frame.io.
- Ability to work independently and propose creative solutions.
- Ability to shape content beyond editing, contributing ideas that elevate tone, storytelling, and audience resonance.
- Strong English communication skills for collaborating with an international team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with digital creators, podcasts, or thought leaders.
- Background in editing a variety of formats including face-to-camera, screen-record, and speaking clips.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
