BowerBird is looking for Senior VueJS front-end developer to work with our fully remote dev team.

El Rol

We're looking for a senior developer who knows their way around VueJS, someone with several years of experience who can be given an objective and develop a solution without too much hand holding, or learning on the job.

Vous should have a keen eye for visual design and understand the importance of margins, padding, fonts, shadows to make a layout excellent.

We're all about writing beautiful code as well.

All that being said, we provide a supportive company culture and work hard to create good resources for our developers.

Currently, we are focused on building a wide range of new features and infrastructure.

Over the next couple of years, we'll be doing everything from expanding our API, launching mobile apps, developing new products, and incorporating new technologies like image AI.

Knowledge doesn't exist until you record it.

We’re big fans of good documentation.

Whenever we do something new, we put effort into documenting the process.

We have an internal wiki, use video tools like Loom and value things like having an up-to-date style guide for our CSS and HTML components.

This is particularly important to us because we're a remote team and need to share information across time zones.

(It's also great if you have a terrible memory and can't remember how you did something last year!).

What’s on our development road map?

TONNES of exciting stuff.

We've just completed our API version 1, and are now rebuilding the app with Vue JS.

Every part of the app is getting polished so it's sexy and beautiful.

We're also building out a range of front-end features for images and video including image AI, tagging, and quickly using this content in publications and social media platforms.

Key Requirements

• Good experience with VueJS and Vite.
• Good experience with TDD, especially Vitest, and Vue Testing Library.
• Good understanding of the syntax of JavaScript and its nuances.
• Good experience with design and development of REST API.
• Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography.
• Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, and logging.
