Senior Software Engineer- AI Specialist

As a Senior Software Engineer- AI Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and evolving the backend systems that power our AI-driven Customer Success agent. In this role, you will implement enhancements, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, optimize performance, build reliable testing environments, and enable the continuous evolution of the AI agent.

Your work will ensure that our AI agent operates in a stable, efficient, and scalable way, becoming a critical component of Baubap’s daily operations and customer experience.

The expected outcome:

High operational stability: The AI agent backend operates with low latency, sustained stability, and minimal technical incidents.

Scalable and resilient architecture: The system evolves toward a modular, decoupled architecture capable of handling increased volume without performance degradation.

Reliable automation: AI agent workflows run in a stable and predictable manner, with a reduced rate of technical failures.

Continuous iteration: Ongoing improvements, experiments, and variants are developed to continuously enhance the agent’s behavior, efficiency, and effectiveness.

The day to day tasks:

Maintain and improve the internal workflows, services, and modules that enable the AI agent to operate in a stable and efficient way.

Implement technical optimizations to improve performance, resource utilization, and response times.

Diagnose, resolve, and proactively prevent incidents related to the AI agent, including root cause analysis and system hardening.

Build testing agents, experimentation environments, and A/B variants that enable continuous technical iteration.

Perform technical prompt engineering adjustments (context, parameters, configurations) required for the correct and reliable operation of the AI agent.

Why YOU should apply:

5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.

Strong proficiency in Python as the primary language for service development.

• Experience with distributed systems, concurrency control, message queues, and event-driven architectures (e.g., SQS, Redis streams/queues, background workers).

Experience building and integrating backend services that expose structured tools to LLMs (e.g., MCP servers or similar tooling) and systems that integrate LLM-based agents.

Previous experience working with LLM-powered systems or agents, including tuning the technical configurations required for their operation.

Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Experience working with AWS (Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM).

Experience using Datadog for logs, metrics, and traces in backend systems, or similar observability platforms.
