As the Temporary LatAm Corporate Senior Accountant you’ll be part of a high-performing team that is driving Nikes international business growth through the APLA Geography (temporary contract by 6 months ). While mastering and executing the fundamentals will be critical your ability to operate in a very dynamic environment work effectively and build trust with a variety of internal stakeholders will also be crucial. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and accurate month‑end close and drives continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the teams accounting and financial reporting processes. This will also involve working closely with our Managed Service Provider for accounting transactions. We are looking for someone who is a self‑starter highly organized and able to drive collaborative relationships with cross‑functional business partners.
You will develop high profile influential and collaborative relationships across teams functions and layers of the business while demonstrating mastery of US GAAP particularly around Corporate Accounting Tax and Treasury.
In this role you will report to the LatAm Corporate Accounting Manager based in Mexico City Mexico.
Reporting during 6 months to the LatAm Corporate Accounting Manager this role is a critical finance partner for the NIKE LatAm territories (Mexico as owned and operated and Central & South America as distributor model) and APLA Corporate Accounting. You will have interactions with various LatAm stakeholders working closely with the LatAm Financial Planning and Record to Report Shared Delivery teams.
