Project Manager for Capital Investment Projects
We seek a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee capital investment projects and support manufacturing sites with their utility infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil and mechanical engineering, combined with experience in managing multiple stakeholders at different locations. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, effectively navigating cultural differences and aligning diverse teams toward common goals.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and managing project plans, schedules, business cases, and budgets to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder requirements.
- Managing the regional capital investment portfolio and facilitating the corporate approval process.
- Defining investments needed to maintain business continuity, improve asset effectiveness, and ensure operational excellence of utility infrastructure.
- Engaging and managing relationships with key stakeholders across various sites and countries, ensuring regular communication and alignment with project goals through corporate-defined KPIs.
- Leading and motivating diverse teams in different locations, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success, monitoring project health and proactively addressing challenges.
- Preparing and presenting project status reports, updates, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Defining resource requirements for projects across multiple sites, leveraging key stakeholders to ensure the right people are in place to meet project needs and timelines.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Master's Business Administration, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing projects and cross-functional teams.
- A strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Proficiency in managing budgets and financial forecasting.
- Experience in a multicultural environment and understanding of global business practices.
