An interpreting agency is seeking over-the-phone interpreters to work from home, fluent in both English and Spanish, with medical interpreting experience preferred. Interpreters will be hired as Independent Contractors under a fixed schedule, receiving bi-monthly payments in U.S. dollars. A commitment to exclusivity with the agency during employment is required. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with part-time hours totaling 40 per week.

Formación

• Minimum one year of interpreting experience is preferred.
• Must possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in medical terminology is highly advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret over-the-phone conversations between English and Spanish speakers.
• Act as a cultural broker to avoid miscommunication.
• Adhere to a scheduled shift agreed upon with supervisors.
