Description

At FIFA26, our vision is to unite the world through the greatest sporting event of all time. The FIFA World Cup 26™ will mark the first time that the tournament will feature 48 teams and be hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico and the USA. This new format will redefine excellence, generating unique opportunities for greater participation and engagement among fans and players across North America and all over the world. Now is your time to become a game changer and join the workforce that will plan and deliver this extraordinary and unforgettable experience.

Position Overview

Reporting organizationally to the Head of Recruiting, the Recruitment Manager will play a critical and high-impact role in driving large-scale workforce hiring and operational readiness for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. This is an extremely high-volume and high‑intensity position — not a traditional recruitment role — requiring exceptional organization, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

The Recruitment Manager will not only facilitate full‑cycle recruitment but also lead and execute various workforce‑related initiatives that involve filling hundreds of positions across multiple workforce types, each with unique processes, systems, and compliance requirements. This role demands strong project management capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency while operating under significant pressure and evolving deadlines.

We are seeking self‑starters and proactive leaders who can navigate challenges, adapt quickly, and push critical objectives to completion on time. The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguity, possess strong leadership and problem‑solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to build, refine, and scale processes to meet the operational needs of a global event.

This is a dynamic, hands‑on role that requires balancing high‑volume recruitment with strategic workforce execution — managing competing priorities, coordinating across functions, and ensuring delivery excellence for one of the largest sporting events in history.

This will be a 6‑month temporary contract role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from initial talent sourcing and screening to selection and offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Must be comfortable with a high‑volume requisition load (150-250 roles at a time).
  • Strong knowledge of modern Project Management tools, Applicant Tracking Systems, and HR technologies used to attract, nurture and manage a pipeline of talent and onboarding of all candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability to project‑manage, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics (e.g., candidate quality, source effectiveness, time to fill) and use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Execute recruitment strategies for high‑volume, tournament‑time roles and niche skill sets, building a strong pipeline of candidates for specialized roles in an ever‑evolving environment.
  • Transition seamlessly from recruitment responsibilities to operational support during tournament events, assisting with staff mobilization and management as required.
  • Collaborate with HR and workforce teams to adapt recruitment processes to meet high‑intensity, time‑sensitive tournament requirements, ensuring rapid deployment of personnel across venues.
  • Coordinate with other operational teams to ensure that recruitment aligns with logistical and staffing needs during tournament phases, providing a proactive approach to personnel planning.
Your Profile

Accountability: Demonstrate commitment to responsibilities and objectively analyze one’s behavior, while assuming consequences of one’s own actions and/or decisions and learning from one’s mistakes.

Innovation: Capacity to break new ground, look for unconventional solutions, and produce fresh ideas.

Leadership: Ability to lead one’s contacts/colleagues/partners, encourage teamwork, and delegate authority / decision‑making power, as needed, to produce the expected results and make efficient use of the team’s skills and talents.
