A leading manufacturing company in Monterrey seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction by managing quality documentation and supporting the APQP process. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience in QMS. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and manages quality-related customer interactions.

Formación

  • Full bilingual proficiency in English.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, Core Tools, and Quality 4.0.
  • Internal Auditor certification.

Quality Engineer

Objective

To ensure product quality and customer satisfaction by effectively managing quality documentation, including control plans and PPAP submissions, throughout the product lifecycle. Support the APQP process and promptly address customer claims to maintain strong client relationships and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and continuously enhance the Nemak Quality System (NQS).
  • Collaborate with and support quality engineers across multiple plants.
  • Manage customer portals for regional performance monitoring, define strategies to meet customer requirements, and achieve top scorecard ratings.
  • Lead and participate in structured problem-solving initiatives, using statistical and other advanced tools to deliver effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems.
  • Develop and maintain process control plans, review and optimize data collection methods.
  • Address quality-related issues and represent Nemak during customer visits when needed.
  • Drive the development and presentation of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metric to stakeholders.
  • Manage quality management, control plans, and customer validations/PPAP.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, Core Tools, and Quality 4.0. Problem Solving skills.
  • Technical competencies: Internal Auditor certification.
  • IATF 16949 knowledge is preferred.
  • SPC or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Soft skills: Conflict Management, Communication, Negotiation, Decision Making, Strategic Agility.
  • Language: Full bilingual proficiency in English.
