Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Quality Auditor (Technician). In this role, the main responsibilities include verify that production processes are carried out in accordance with quality standards by using measurement equipment and tools. Participate in the analysis and resolution of quality issues.

Key responsibilities
  • Audit processes based on the control plan.
  • Follow up on containment and corrective actions.
  • Update technical information, checklists, quality alerts, work instructions, and quality indicators (PPMs for assigned lines).
  • Prepare reports (failure analysis).
  • Perform component reliability validation.
  • Promote and maintain best practices.
  • Participate in training programs and provide training to operational personnel.
  • Join internal and external quality problem-solving teams applying PDCA / A3 methodology.
  • Conduct laboratory tests.
  • Acquire proficiency in the assigned process.
  • Update indicators for assigned lines.
  • Ensure that parts in process and finished products meet Quality System requirements and report non-conforming material to the relevant areas.
  • Accept or reject raw materials, in-process products, or finished goods.
  • Verify process flow.
  • Stop processes when product quality is at risk.
  • Engage affected areas to analyze and correct deviations.
What we’re looking for
  • Schooling: Incomplete degree or similar in Mechanical Administrator Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Production Process Technician.
  • Experience Time in similar position: 6 months or more in a similar position.
  • Technical knowledge required: Measuring instruments, manufacturing processes, statistical methods, geometric tolerances & blueprint interpretation, testing equipment knowledge.
  • Other requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
