Python Backend Developer (Project-Based) – Si Sphere Software • Xico, Veracruz, México

Now we are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join one of our client projects – an AI‑powered influencer discovery and advertising placement platform.

Employment type: Project‑based (engagement limited to one/two projects, about 20 weeks – up to 6 months)

Location: Remote (must overlap with PST and be available until 5:30 PM Chicago time)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Handle structured/unstructured data and implement efficient JSON‑based data flows.
• Work on AWS cloud services to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of backend systems.
• Integrate and optimize AI‑driven components within the backend architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions to avoid duplicate backend implementations (Python‑first approach).

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python for building scalable backend systems.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency in working with JSON data structures and APIs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration within backend systems is a plus.
• Experience in designing high‑performance, distributed systems.
• Availability within PST working hours and overlap until 5:30 PM Chicago time.
