Overview

Are you passionate about driving technological innovation and regulatory compliance in the financial services sector? Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to help drive oversight and reinforce the first line governance model for information and computing technology (ICT) for the Amazon Payment Regulated Entities (APRE) worldwide. This role will help manage complex cross-functional programs and initiatives across multiple regulated entities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will be at the forefront of implementing our global ICT strategy across regulated entities, coordinating complex programs that span multiple APRE organizations. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining comprehensive program documentation and metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of our controls. You\'ll also play a key role in preparing materials that keep our governing bodies and regulators informed of our progress and challenges.

We\'ll rely on you to help ensure our ICT operations consistently meet business requirements while maintaining regulatory compliance. You\'ll support our incident and problem management processes, working to identify and address potential risks before they impact our customers or business operations. Your strategic thinking and communication skills will be essential as you help develop and document ICT policies and procedures that govern our regulated operations. You\'ll create clear, actionable program documentation and status reports that enable data-driven decisions at the executive level. Building and maintaining strong relationships across our regulated entities will be crucial as you coordinate with stakeholders at all levels. You\'ll also organize and facilitate governance meetings that keep our various workstreams aligned and moving forward.

A day in the life

At Amazon, we move fast and our days are never quite the same. Your morning might start by leading stand-ups with our first line of defense teams across multiple time zones. These daily touchpoints are critical for maintaining momentum on key initiatives and quickly removing obstacles that could impact our regulated services. You\'ll maintain and analyze key program metrics and participate in architecture reviews to ensure our technology decisions align with our robust governance frameworks. Your afternoon might focus on driving progress on a key initiative with cross-functional partners. Working closely with stakeholders across our regulated entities, you\'ll gather and refine requirements that shape new initiatives. You\'ll also partner extensively with RCS and first line of defense teams to ensure our operational procedures remain current and effective.

Like all Amazon Program Manager roles

Success in this position requires exceptional multitasking abilities and adaptability. The regulated nature of our business means priorities can shift quickly, and you\'ll need to balance planned activities with emerging needs.
