We are seeking talented individuals to join our team to help us establish and grow our presence, organization, culture, which will drive our digital product development efforts. What will you do?

As a Junior Data Engineer at Cat Digital's new Slovakian branch, you will contribute to design, development and deployment of Caterpillar’s state of the art digital program. You will be responsible for:

• Development of applications, project management, and complex assignments.
• Development of application focused around delivering business valuable features.
• Assist other engineers, providing technical assistance and collaboration.
• Guiding the team to develop structured code, new program documentation, operations, documentation, and user guides.
• Performing integrated testing to ensure timely, quality results.

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

What you have:

• Knowledge of technical aspects of a software products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar field.
• Proven experience with software development, testing, creating documentation and working within a team.
• Experience in designing and developing software applications in Python.
• Passion for technology and eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.
• Deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps etc.
• Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
