Formación

  • Mínimo 3 años de experiencia en P&C (re-)insurance.

  • Estimación de reservas del portafolio de seguros P&C trimestralmente.
  • Preparar informes financieros internos y externos.

About the Team

Our team is responsible for determining the technical reserves at appropriate levels, ensuring compliance with local statutory and IFRS requirements across multiple regions. We support Swiss Re Group’s actuarial risk management, specifically for Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Mexico and Colombia.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting the company's growth strategy. This position focuses on reserving, economic valuation, and financial reporting. You’ll be involved in exciting actuarial projects that drive decision-making across the business, allowing you to develop your skills while contributing to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly P&C insurance portfolio reserve estimation: Work closely with internal teams (Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, Finance/Accounting) to ensure accurate reserve calculations.
  • Determine pay-out patterns: Provide vital input for IFRS and solvency calculations, helping to drive financial stability.
  • Financial reporting: Prepare both internal and external (statutory) reports and presentations, ensuring clear and accurate communication of financial data.
  • Portfolio analysis: Perform detailed portfolio reviews and analyses to identify trends and risks.
  • Actuarial support in global projects: Collaborate on international projects and initiatives that support growth strategies.
  • Control assessments: Follow up on controls assessments to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices.
  • Data analytics solutions: Help define and implement innovative data analytics solutions to enhance actuarial processes.

About You

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in P&C (re-)insurance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IFRS principles and reserving methods for P&C (re-)insurance.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using actuarial and statistical software.
  • Qualifications: Motivated to advance actuarial qualifications (local and/or CAS).
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team.
  • Proactive Attitude: Always ready to take the initiative and drive solutions forward.
