Position Summary

First Point Group is hiring experienced OSP Designers and OSP Engineers to support large-scale FTTH deployment projects across the United States. These roles are essential to delivering accurate, high‑quality designs and engineering validation for nationwide fiber expansion initiatives.

Detailed Job Description

As an OSP Designer or OSP Engineer, you will contribute to end-to-end fiber planning, design, and engineering activities for major U.S.-based FTTH programs. You will work remotely with international teams, creating high-level and low-level designs, validating constructability, supporting permitting processes, and ensuring network accuracy through GIS and CAD tools. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise in OSP fiber design and engineering, a deep understanding of U.S. construction standards, and the ability to produce and review detailed network documentation. These roles offer the opportunity to work on high-impact fiber network expansion projects while collaborating with multicultural engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
OSP Designer III
  • Develop High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for FTTH/FTTx projects
  • Produce fiber assignments, splice schematics, and as-built records
  • Create design packages using AutoCAD, ArcGIS/QGIS, and Google Earth
  • Support GPON, XGSPON, and Active‑E architecture designs
  • Ensure design accuracy aligned with U.S. OSP standards and field conditions
OSP Engineer III
  • Perform detailed engineering validation and constructability reviews
  • Support permitting, ROW (Right-of-Way) documentation, and compliance
  • Conduct field verification and route assessments (virtually or through partner data)
  • Engineer aerial, underground, and buried fiber plant
  • Prepare engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, GIS platforms, and MS Office
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in OSP / FTTH design or engineering
  • Strong understanding of fiber networks, construction methods, and OSP standards
  • Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD and GIS tools
  • Experience working on U.S. FTTH/OSP projects (mandatory)
  • Advanced English communication (B2–C1 level)
  • Ability to work remotely across international teams and time zones
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience with U.S. permitting processes (DOT, municipalities, utilities)
  • Familiarity with 3GIS, ESRI‑based tools, or design automation platforms
  • Knowledge of fiber construction cost modeling or bill of materials (BOM) generation
  • Understanding of make‑ready engineering for pole attachments
  • Prior experience with multi‑state FTTH rollout programs
