Overview

Infosys – Onsite Deployment Lead – Java Spring Boot & Azure SQL

In the role of Onsite Deployment Lead – Java Spring Boot & Azure SQL, has strong expertise in Java Spring Boot, Azure SQL, and cloud deployment practices. This role involves leading end-to-end deployment activities, ensuring smooth releases, and collaborating with development, QA, and client teams during onsite engagements.

Responsibilities

• Deployment Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and execute application deployments for Java Spring Boot microservices and Azure SQL databases in client environments.
• Environment Management: Set up and maintain Azure environments, including App Services, Key Vault, Storage, and Networking configurations.
• Release Management: Own the release calendar, manage versioning, and ensure compliance with client deployment standards.
• Database Deployment: Handle schema migrations, stored procedures, and performance tuning for Azure SQL Database.
• CI/CD Ownership: Configure and maintain pipelines using Azure DevOps for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve deployment issues, monitor logs, and ensure rollback strategies are in place.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the onsite point of contact for deployment-related queries and status updates.
• Documentation: Maintain deployment guides, environment diagrams, and release notes.

Qualifications

Locations for this position are Mexico (Mexico City).

Basic

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• 6+ years in Java backend development and 2+ years in deployment/release management.
• Experience in onsite client coordination and stakeholder management.

Mandatory Skillsets:

• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Expertise in Azure SQL databases.
• Understanding of security best practices, design patterns, and scalability principles.

Other Relevant Experience:

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (ELK stack).
• Prior experience in onsite client engagement.
• Delivery of high-quality, scalable microservices within agreed timelines.
• Reduction in production defects and improved code quality metrics.
• Successful implementation of CI/CD and containerization strategies.
• Positive feedback from team on mentorship and leadership.
