Partner with the best

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing mechanical design support and expertise to ESP & Hpumps (Surface) Systems Group (Pumps, motors, seals, intakes, etc.) under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of mechanical aspects of existing completion equipment and downhole systems by collaborating with engineering and operational teams, assessing potential improvements driven by client feedback and field data, implementing design changes, and demonstrating their robustness through calculations and analysis (GD&T, stack-ups).
  • Ensuring design changes comply with relevant codes of practice where applicable, and preparing design reports.

Support production, manufacturing, assembly, field, supply chain, and quality departments as required.

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (Mechatronics, Electronics, etc.) with equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably involving oilfield (downhole) equipment design.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks/NX).
  • Experience with ERP systems (TeamCenter, SAP).
  • Good understanding of mechanical and structural analytical and numerical design techniques.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Desired characteristics include a good understanding of fluid mechanics and pipeline hydraulics, self-motivation, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Experience in designing downhole production equipment, valves, and artificial lift equipment, as well as material specification, is preferred.
