Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in mechanical processes and switch boards preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and line balancing essential.

  • Design and install assembly equipment for production.
  • Coordinate equipment installation while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Define assembly line value stream maps and architecture.
  • Ensure adequate assembly capacity and monitor effectiveness.

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for aManufacturing Engineer (for Mechanical area) in our Querétaro location. This is an opportunity to join a manufacturing site that strives to be on the leading edge of technology to drive continuous improvement.

What do you get to do in this position?
  • Designing, installing & qualifying assembly equipment to support low volume/high mix production
  • Coordinating the installation of the assembly equipment, while adhering to safety guidelines
  • Defining the assembly line value stream maps
  • Designing the assembly line architecture and shop floor layouts
  • Defining the takt time (the mfg rate to match customer demand) for the assembly area
  • Ensuring adequate assembly capacity and material handling capacity
  • Monitoring the Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Leading the continuous improvement efforts for assembly of Low Voltage DrawOut Switchgear
  • Applying Lean/Six Sigma problem solving methods for root cause resolutions
  • Developing the capital expenditure proposals for the assembly area
  • Creating detailed plans for every assembly
  • Designing safe/ergonomic assembly lines and material handling solutions
  • Supporting new product development projects (cost estimates, layouts, fixtures, assembly lines)
Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical process (mandatory) and switch boards (preferred)
  • AutoCAD knowledge
