A leading multinational manufacturing company in Torreón, Coahuila seeks an experienced professional to manage various engineering and manufacturing processes. Your role will involve overseeing assembly operations, managing project releases, and applying lean manufacturing principles. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and have related experience in the construction or automotive sectors. A capacity for decision-making and problem-solving in a manufacturing context is essential. The position requires a willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 50%.

Formación

  • Experience in Construction Prime Product Machines or automotive Industry Experience.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Releasing processes (4 years minimum).
  • Capital RFIs management.
  • NPI/NSI processes (New Product Introduction/ New Source Introduction).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead Prime Product Assembly manufacturing processing and cost estimating.
  • Manage Engineering to Produce Systems such as SAP ME and GTC Manufacturing.
  • Oversee programs for hiring and performance management.
  • Implement operating methods and improvements.

What you will do:

Works closely with operations and product managers for automated manufacturing systems, manufacturing processes and product engineering of prime product facility to ensure common goals in support of product group objectives.

  • Leading Prime Product Assembly manufacturing processing, cost estimating (PCM), systems planning, layout, standard, releasing, capital Projects, gaging and checking equipment, tooling and work standards.
  • Manage Engineering to Produce Systems such as SAP ME, PinPoint, GTC Manufacturing with Rapid Author
  • Manage MMO (Material Master Owner engineer) and maintain Super BOMs and Variable config SAP data
  • Manage IPV Processes (Flashing, Hot Test 1-2-3, Road testing & Sound testing prior to PDI-Ship machines for full quality and normativity compliance
  • Overseeing programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions.
  • Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
  • Coordinating release dates and availability of machines, equipment and material schedules to satisfy demand. Ensuring implementation of modern technology and verifies the effectiveness of equipment and systems.
What you will have
  • Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service. Documents major considerations of product promotions and analyzes their effect on production and required capacity. Provides management reports on actual and projected capacity requirements.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Applies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process. Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. Manages the adoption of lean manufacturing principles across the organization. Teaches others about how lean approach integrates operations, customers, logistics and product development. Trains others on key lean measurements and tools and techniques for measuring performance.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Advises others using industry experience and benchmarks for methodology effectiveness. Develops best practices documentation for all major activities and tasks. Trains others on all major tasks and considerations for the full manufacturing process.
  • Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or an equivalent engineering
  • Experience in Construction Prime Product Machines or automotive Industry Experience
  • Intermediate English proficiency.

Additional Information:
  • Shift rotation: No primarily but with disposition to cover specific issues in night shift (whenever needed)
  • Travels: National or International (50%)
