Manager, Investor Services / Transfer Agency (Remote: Online, Locations: Mexico City, Full time, posted Today)

Role Summary

The Manager will lead the Investor Services / Transfer Agency team, ensuring day‑to‑day operations meet client deliverables in a timely and accurate manner. Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Transfer Agency in North America, the role requires strict adherence to internal procedures and regulatory AML requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update controls and procedures across Fund Services periodically.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements within the Transfer Agency Department.
  • Monitor operational risk across the Business and support the enhancement of the existing risk framework.
  • Perform operational risk scenario modelling and analysis.
  • Build, train, and develop the current team.
  • Keep the operations team current on all regulatory and internal risk updates, ensuring necessary knowledge and systems are in place.
  • Manage oversight of outsourcing for funds contracted from other jurisdictions and enhance KRI metrics.
  • Maintain international client relationships and interact with hedge fund principals and their investors.
  • Review, understand, and discuss fund governing documents with staff and clients.
  • Handle all aspects of operations and controls—processing subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches.
  • Ensure transfer agency procedures and policies align with local and global regulations.
  • Enforce adherence to the Apex Fund Services group policies.
  • Respond to investor and audit‑related enquiries.
  • Deliver all regulatory reporting (onshore and offshore) within required timeframes.
  • Provide periodic reports and feedback to senior management.
  • Participate in presentations for business opportunities for new and existing clients.
  • Lead change management and ad‑hoc project management as required.
  • Advance the development of new and existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability.
What You Bring
  • Five+ years of proven experience managing Investor Services / Client Servicing teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of Investor Services systems.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of Anti‑Money Laundering / Know Your Customer.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of FATCA.
  • Strong understanding of fund legal structures and the fund administration business.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change.
  • Strong risk and control focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting, finance and investment concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong multi‑tasking skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and varied decision‑making scenarios.
