Job Description
- Preparation and presentation of annual business plan and quarterly forecast for direct material inventory of Logistics controlled product areas.
- Analysis of monthly inventory results, explain deviations from plan and recommend measures for improvement.
- Prepare and conduct monthly inventory review with Material Planning department and Logistics management on progress of goals and measures.
- Develop, implement and update inventory planning tools to assist in meeting departmental inventory goals.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to central Business Unit departments (e.g. LOG Costs).
- Monitor and control material scrapping process.
- Analyze Slow/No Move inventory and recommend/coordinate appropriate measures.
- Analyze monthly Logistics costs (Fishbone) report, identify variances and recommend measures to meet plan.
- Prepare and implement logistics allocation keys to ensure fair distribution of overall logistics costs.
- Analyze and report freight costs by profit center based on actual freight spend (e.g. domestic, air, ocean).
- Develop tools to support daily activities within the department and support process standardization.
- Participate in CIP/Cross functional activities to drive improvements in the Logistics value stream.
- Perform other essential and related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting with minimum 3 or 4 years of controlling experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including Macros) and proficiency in other MS Office applications. Power Point.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Automotive industry experience
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced English (bilingual, business English)
Preferred:
- Nice to have: Experience in training others such as acting as a knowledge resource.
- Nice to have: Experience with supervising in knowledge transfer to others.
- Nice to have: Demonstrated experience in applying project management principles to support departmental activities.
