Overview
The E‑Commerce Marketing Manager (LATAM Marketplaces) will lead strategy and execution across Mercado Libre and other key Latin American platforms. This role drives growth through marketplace marketing strategies, campaign management, content optimization, and performance analysis while collaborating with sales, product, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on pricing, inventory, and brand positioning.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement eCommerce marketing strategies for Mercado Libre and other marketplaces in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and other assigned accounts.
- Identify marketing activities that support growth initiatives on marketplace platforms.
Account Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for marketing activities for assigned accounts.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and promotions.
Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze sales, performance, traffic, metrics, and KPIs for all accounts.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and insights for stakeholders.
- Understand customer search trends and brand positioning within each platform.
Campaign Management
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns tailored to each platform/marketplace.
- Manage promotional calendar, including product launches and seasonal promotions.
- Maintain pacing levels within monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
Content Development
- Oversee the creation and optimization of product listings to improve visibility and conversion rates.
- Work closely with product marketing to ensure high‑quality content.
- Manage brand stores within accounts to ensure an optimal customer shopping experience.
Pricing and Inventory Management
- Provide discovered insights around pricing and inventory to sales lead; marketing can provide insights from marketing‑related findings.
- Support sales with supply chain and pricing teams to set competitive pricing strategies.
- Support sales with monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts and ensure timely replenishment; monitor lost buy box % on Amazon.
Key Deliverables
Marketing Strategy Report
- Comprehensive report outlining quarterly marketing strategies and budget allocations for respective countries and assigned accounts.
Campaign Performance Analysis
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly performance reports detailing successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Optimized Product Listings
- Regular updates to product listings based on SEO best practices and market trends.
Promotional Calendar
- A weekly calendar of promotions and key marketing initiatives for the year.
Tasks
Daily Tasks
- Monitor sales and traffic data across all accounts.
- Respond to inquiries from Amazon account representatives and third‑party resellers.
- Walk key accounts & channels to ensure a positive customer experience.
Weekly Tasks
- Review performance metrics and adjust marketing strategies as needed.
- Audit & optimize paid search accounts (budgets, keyword coverage, cleanup, bid adjustments).
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Monthly Tasks
- Hold strategy and performance review meetings with stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly Amazon review deck for key accounts.
- Plan upcoming monthly campaigns and promotional activities.
Quarterly Tasks
- Perform a comprehensive review of account performance and adjust long‑term strategies accordingly.
- Conduct search trend audits & ad coverage analysis; provide sales & broader teams recommended changes in ad coverage.
- Collaborate with sales to prepare customer presentations (QBR).
- Refresh product page, brand store & advertising content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E‑Commerce or related field.
- 5 years of e‑commerce marketing experience, preferably in LATAM marketplaces like Mercado Libre.
- Proven experience in campaign management, search and display advertising, content optimization, and marketplace strategy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience managing product listings, brand stores, and promotional calendars.
- Fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese for LATAM market communication.
