A global coatings company is seeking a Laboratory Technician to manage quality control in their pretreatment and painting processes. The ideal candidate will have a Higher Technical Degree, a minimum of 2 years of experience, and knowledge of laboratory equipment operations. This position is located in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, and offers benefits like health and life insurance.

Overview

As a Laboratory Technician, you will ensure the control and quality of the pretreatment and painting processes through parameter monitoring, laboratory analysis, chemical inventory management, equipment maintenance, and participation in audits and continuous improvement projects. You will monitor each stage of the process to ensure its proper development. You will be located at Saltillo Plant, and report directly to our Laboratory Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily monitoring of process parameters.
  • Perform tests and sample analyses throughout different stages of the pretreatment process.
  • Manage paint and chemical inventories for the Ecoat and pretreatment processes.
  • Oversee proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in internal and external quality management system audits, as well as in improvement and projects.
Qualifications
  • Requirements:
    • Education: Higher Technical Degree (TSU or equivalent).
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in similar positions.
  • Essential knowledge:
    • Operation of laboratory equipment and reagents (balances, ovens, muffle furnaces, potentiometers, among others).
    • Knowledge of Ecoat and pretreatment processes.
