A global leader in coatings is seeking a Lab Technician in León to oversee the pretreatment process and ensure quality control in paint application. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in chemical analyses. Overview

As a lab technician, you will review and adjust, daily, the standard and critical parameters that control the pretreatment process and the application of paint by electrodeposition. You will be located at the León plant, and will report directly to our Maintenance Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample across all stages of pretreatment and painting.
  • Daily shift records and line adjustments based on results.
  • Operation and monitoring of the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Inspection and adjustment of the reverse osmosis system.
  • Inventory control of direct materials used in the production process and indirect materials (for pretreatment and laboratory).
  • Perform chemical analyses in the laboratory, including pH measurements, conductivity tests, use of analytical balance, and titrations to check alkalinity and acidity.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Required Experience (minimum): At least 2 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Essential Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in chemical laboratory analysis.
    • Experience with coating technologies (electroplating, electro-galvanizing, autophoretic coating).
  • Desired Knowledge:
    • Wastewater pretreatment.
    • Process control experience.
    • Knowledge of stamping or die-cutting processes.
