A leading technology firm is seeking an L2 Support for Wellsite Infrastructure based in Villahermosa, Tabasco. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in networking, CCNA certification, and two to three years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include ensuring rig-site connectivity, configuring VLANs, and maintaining stable data channels for real-time services. Knowledge in firewall configuration and orchestration platforms is desirable. This position requires fluent or conversational English.

Formación

Profile Summary: The candidates should be from network infrastructure management and should have worked extensively in this field. Prior experience in industrial automation is desirable. The candidates, at a minimum, will have CCNA certification and hands‑on experience designing and architecting network layouts.

Education: 4 years IT related degree

English Level: Fluent / conversational level.

On site Job.

2 to 3 years experience in the following skill sets.

Detailed Skillsets

• Networking (LAN/WAN, Routing, VLANs)
• Strong foundation in LAN/WAN architectures and routing principles.
• Ability to configure VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, static routes, and troubleshoot network path issues.
• Experience validating rig‑site connectivity and ensuring stable data channels for real‑time services.
• Firewall Configuration (PA-VM, NAT, VPN)
• Experience configuring Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, and VPN tunnels.
• Understanding of segmentation, traffic filtering, and log analysis for secure data transport.
• Ability to apply firewall templates and ensure compliance with security standards across deployments.
• Virtual Networking
• Capable of setting up virtual switches, VLAN mappings, NIC configurations, and trunked interfaces.
• Ensures secure, deterministic data paths between physical and virtual components.
• Hypervisors (desirable competency)
• Hands‑on experience with hypervisors such as KVM or VMware ESXi to deploy and manage virtual machines.
• Skilled in resource allocation (CPU, memory, storage) and configuring virtual networking to support real‑time workloads.
• Ensures stable and optimized environments for data acquisition and processing applications.
• Edge Orchestration (desirable competency)
• Experience with orchestration platforms such as Zededa or lightweight Kubernetes (K3s/MicroK8s).
• Ability to automate workload deployments, manage configuration consistency, and monitor application lifecycle across distributed edge nodes.
• Supports scalable, secure, and consistent deployments in multi‑rig environments.
