A global logistics company based in Ciudad de México is looking for an Integration Engineer to design and implement advanced automation solutions for high-performance warehouses. The candidate will need over five years of experience in logistics and demonstrate a strong understanding of automation technologies. Key responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, leading vendor management, and ensuring seamless integration of automated systems. Formación

  • 5+ years in logistics or supply chain environments.

In this role, you will help design, validate, and integrate advanced OT & automation solutions that power high‑performance warehouses across our global footprint.

What You’ll Do

As an Integration Engineer, you will:



  • Technical Design & Scoping

    • Collaborate with Solution Designers, Innovation, CI, and SysOps to understand business needs for warehouse automation.

    • Generate, validate, and evolve Technical Scope of Work for AOT projects (applications + IT/OT infrastructure).

    • Define requirements for network architecture (WAN, LAN, WLAN), computing resources, scanners, displays, handhelds, and other OT systems.

    • Build and iterate Concept Designs ensuring operational relevance and scalability.



  • Automation Engineering & Vendor Management

    • Lead engineering validation for automation tenders (RFPs), including requirement definition, proposal evaluation, and vendor rating.

    • Lead detailed design discussions with automation vendors; validate physical and logical process flows.

    • Develop value stream mapping (VSM), use cases, and integration requirements.



  • Systems Integration

    • Work closely with OT System teams to ensure seamless integration of:

      • WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)

      • WES (Warehouse Execution Systems)

      • WCS (Warehouse Control Systems)

      • Other platform interfaces



    • Coordinate with implementation teams to secure smooth deployment of IT/OT infrastructure and maintain quality standards.



  • Testing & Delivery

    • Define testing strategy, acceptance criteria, and support across FAT, UAT, and IT testing stages.

    • Coordinate with integrators, system suppliers, and engineering teams to achieve on‑time, high‑quality project completion.

    • Support vendors in delivering documentation aligned with Maersk’s Engineering Delivery Model and compliance guidelines.





What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have:



  • 5+ years in logistics or supply chain environments.

  • 2+ years designing processes for warehouse or distribution center technologies.

  • 3+ years collaborating with cross‑functional teams across regions.

  • Proven experience delivering warehouse automation solutions end‑to‑end.


Technical Skills


  • Strong knowledge of OT/Automation architecture aligned with ISA95 / ISA99.

  • Solid understanding of AOT infrastructure: WAN/LAN/WLAN, compute devices, automation interfaces.

  • Experience integrating automated equipment, execution systems, and control systems.

  • Familiarity with WMS, WES/WCS, MES, SCADA, HMI, and industrial monitoring tools.

  • Ability to design solutions that are scalable, resilient, fault‑tolerant, and easy to monitor.

  • Experience with automated systems such as:

    • Sorters

    • PTL (Pick-to-Light)

    • AGVs/AMRs

    • AS/RS

    • Robotics & instrumentation



  • Proficiency using layout design tools (AutoCAD).

  • Understanding of operational KPIs and automation performance metrics.



Soft Skills


  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration; able to work across global teams.

  • Proactive, hands‑on, and able to drive continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of emerging automation technologies and innovation trends.

  • Experience in information security management is a plus.
