The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as an HSE Manager at Reynosa, MX. The HSE Manager will be part of our mission to create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace. In this dynamic role, you will lead our efforts to eliminate or reduce occupational health, production safety, environmental, and fire risks. You will ensure compliance with national laws and company standards, making a significant impact on our operations and the well-being of our employees. Act as a coach and advisor to the supervision team on HSE management.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
Maintain and execute HSE management systems, conduct inspections and audits, and manage corrective actions.
Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and analysis programs.
Analyze and monitor trends in incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective measures.
Develop and implement HSSE programs and procedures.
Promote employee awareness and participation in safe behaviors.
Manage the ergonomics program and prioritize corrective actions.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, or Occupational Health Sciences.
5 plus years of HSE management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and plant-specific software systems.
Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
Experience with behavior-based safety programs and ISO 45001 & ISO 14001.
