Salary/Wage $58.7k USD Annually

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead our boutique hotel, spa, and restaurant in the stunning red rock country of southern Utah. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a rural environment, enjoys building strong teams, and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences. This job opportunity starts January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations: front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, F&B, spa and guest services.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and mentor staff (including international J-1 interns).
  • Handle guest complaints, reviews, and escalations personally to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Monitor reservations, rates, budgets, and financial reconciliations; partner with marketing to create annual plans and promotions.
  • Maintain property standards with regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and vendor oversight.
  • Address minor maintenance tasks directly and coordinate larger repairs and capital projects.
  • Foster a positive team environment through regular meetings, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Support international staff with housing inspections, transportation, and integration into the community.
  • Collaborate with ownership on recruiting, long-term planning, and future company growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/ restaurant Management, or tourism.
  • Proven hotel management experience (GM or Assistant GM level).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills in a minimum of the English and Spanish language.
  • Hands-on problem solver comfortable with both operations and strategy.
  • Composed and level-headed under pressure, able to make thoughtful decisions without reacting emotionally
  • Experience managing budgets, rate structures, and reconciliations.
  • Willingness to live in and embrace a rural small-town lifestyle.
