Manages and implements sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to your assigned commodity portfolio to maximize dual source development, may or buy strategy, supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) and support category strategic business plan.

• Duties & Responsibilities
• The commodity targeted is sub-contract machined parts - Implements sourcing plans with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times, and minimizing the total cost of the products and services - Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects - Selects a high-performance supply base for assigned portfolio, in accordance with preferred suppliers defined and new suppliers required with Category Managers - Analyze technical drawings and specifications to expertly facilitate sourcing of parts and products - Conducts RFI / Q / P (Request for Information / Quotation / information / Proposal) and bidding processes, minimizing risk, and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery, and cost - Evaluates current and prospective suppliers through supplier reviews, site visits and audits, in coordination with Supplier Quality teams, to assure supply capabilities, on-time delivery, quality and service - Negotiates prices and terms with suppliers to meet specified quality, delivery, and cost objectives - Support / Executes contract negotiation and development in coordination with Category Manager and contract legal team - Drives the parts and process qualification, in coordination with Supplier Quality teams - Collaborates with internal planning, quality, engineering teams and external suppliers to guarantee supply for all all sourcing events - Effectively communicates with and maintains the highest degree of relations between the Company and all levels of supplier personnel - Builds strong relationships with internal customers to meet defined objectives - Identifies opportunities and implements actions to continually reduce wasted time, money and resources from assigned tasks - Employees may be assigned other duties in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the location or Company - Designs and develops the supplier-base in order to leverage global spend opportunities, reduce lead times and total cost of ownership - Develops and implements category global sourcing plans and spend strategies to support broad business objectives - Be the main contact for global supplier relations through single point of contact Supplier Management organization.

Engages key stakeholders as required including Senior Management - Sets performance objectives to assigned suppliers (quality improvement, on-time delivery, lead-time reduction, cost reduction).

Defines baseline, improvement targets and monitors progress through a regularly updated supplier scorecard
