Formación

  • Familiarity with NFPA 850 and NFPA 2001 preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide fire protection and life safety design, analysis, construction support for power generation facilities.
  • Perform fire hazard analysis for the site to determine hazards and appropriate active and passive fire protection schemes in conjunction with the requirements of the applicable codes, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Generate calculations to size water supply, fire pumps, and underground pipe sizing.
  • Develop subcontractor scope of work packages based upon the fire hazard analysis and calculations.
  • Award and manage subcontractors based upon the scope of work packages developed.
  • Review subcontractor fire suppression and fire alarm system plans and calculations.
  • Review fire barrier and penetration seal requirements for specific hazards.
  • Perform life safety reviews for buildings and industrial equipment areas.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years minimum relevant experience in power generation, industrial, or similar type projects.
  • Knowledge of the NFPA regulations and standards: 13, 14, 20, 22, 24, 72, 101.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 850 and NFPA 2001 preferred.
  • Ability to navigate local code requirements/amendments (NOM's desirable), other NFPA standards and criteria such as FM data sheets on an as-needed basis.
  • Construction administration experience preferred.
  • Advanced English is a must.
