About the role of the Executive Chef

Will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, staff management, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a deep understanding of culinary trends and cost control.

What you will do
Menu Development & Execution
  • Create and design innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s vision
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served
  • Develop seasonal and special event menus
Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain high culinary standards, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper portion control and adherence to recipes.
Team Leadership & Management
  • Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching for professional development.
Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and waste reduction.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure profitability through effective cost management without compromising quality.
Compliance & Safety
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement food safety protocols.
What you bring
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary arts or a related field is mandatory
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Kitchen Management Operations including budgeting, food control and process optimisation
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a luxury hotel or similar high‑end environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience with the Birchstreet System is highly desirable
  • Ability to work proficiently with all hotel systems, maintaining a keen attention to detail.
