A leading energy solutions company in Tijuana is seeking an Engineer to coordinate activities related to the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 to 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Responsibilities include generating and maintaining process documentation, proposing tooling improvements, and addressing technical issues. This position is responsible for coordinating engineering activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes in the Tooling area, ensuring that all technical requirements are met so that production can perform the work with quality and within the required time frame.

Main Functions
  • Generation and maintenance of process routes, work instructions, and bill of materials to meet engineering specifications.
  • Evaluate and propose improvements in processes and work methods related to tooling.
  • Ensure proper selection, design, and validation of fixtures and clamping devices.
Basic Responsibilities / Skills

Recommend process improvements and follow up on their implementation. Make decisions on technical matters related to tooling and processes. Monitor and reduce costs and times associated with tooling. Selection and/or design of fixtures and special devices. Creation and maintenance of routes, bill of materials, and work instructions. Support the Associate Engineer in resolving technical issues. Analyze process failures and generate preventive measures. Follow-up on internal and external corrective actions. Deal with suppliers and customers for recommendations on consumables and tooling components. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, gas turbine components, and metallurgy (desirable but not essential). Application of continuous improvement methodologies (JIT, RIW, 8DS, ISO 9000, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD, layout improvements. Management of high-impact projects.

Experience and Requirements
  • Technical conversational English (85%).
  • Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2 to 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
