Job Description
The Electrical & control engineer is responsible for the project design, planning and execution relevant to the power, electricals (medium & low voltage), networks architectures, controls & automation scope of the projects. As well as is involved in the delivery of digital tools/assets in new installations or modifications to the current operations. Through his qualifications, the job owner ensures that all projects where he is involved, complies to site controls strategy, internal and external electrical standards, and mandates.
He / She has responsibility for defined projects objectives, the coordination of work processes and ensuring an effective prompt communication sequence between the various site areas and the involved contractors.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related scientific or technical disciplines would be required
- Relevant 5+ year experience in closely related industry would be required
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and on high performing teams
- Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills
What will be your key responsibilities?
- He/she supports the project-engineering team in the preparation, installation and commissioning of new machinery / equipment / system and parts related to PC&IS area standards. He is accountable for full sub-projects, ensuring the proper interactions with the site team members and stakeholders.
- Will conceptualize, design, and deliver full automation/digitalization solutions (process, packaging & utilities) aligned with MARS global standards, to enable the correct automation of the projects under his command or in the ones where he is part of a larger team.
- During the project execution, he coordinates the contractors, prepares, and monitors operational plans and manages the cost.
- Provide technical support & coordinates training activities with contractors/suppliers during start-up activities.
- Being subject matter expert on electrical & controls, support site engineering on issues related to electrical & controls.
- Effective communication with other teams including operational, R&D, quality, engineering (cluster, regional, global) and maintenance areas.
- He is responsible for his/her area for compliance with Mars standards as well as all relevant regulations he/she ensures that all directives on occupational safety, hygiene and fire protection are met.
- He must guarantee that the solutions delivered in his projects are aligned with the site digitalization roadmap, either delivering implemented solutions or systems enabled for future integration into the factory digitalization journey.
- He must be capable of understanding complex automation & electrical engineering designs and project proposals, in terms of accomplishment of local and international standards & regulations, proven technologies, proper structure, right calculations or sizing. Based on this understanding, must be capable of challenging suppliers or contractors where he find opportunity areas or mistakes in these designs or proposals.
